QUANTITY SURVEYING
We understand that the pressure of pushing a project to completion can mean the commercial side takes a back seat until the end, which can mean sub-contractors are open to missing variations and not being paid what they should be. We can help contractors and sub-contractors to manage the commercial side of projects to ensure variations are tracked and budgets are monitored, so they get paid a fair sum and make the profit they deserve.
FINAL ACCOUNTS
Both Contractors and sub-contractors often find themselves in a position where a project has finished and they are not sure what their final account value is, with a pile of paperwork to sort through which can be overwhelming. We can provide a one-off final account service to sort through the information and put together a final account that means sub-contractors are getting paid for the work they have done.
EXTENSION OF TIME CLAIMS
It's true that very rarely does a construction project finish on time. A multitude of variations, design changes, instructions etc. can result in weeks or even months of delays. But who picks up the bill for the extra costs? The Contractors and Subcontractors are normally the first port of call, however what if it wasn't their fault? We can assist by producing a programme analysis and extension of time claim to ensure the Contractors and Subcontractors receive a fair assessment, recover costs due to them and aren't left to pay damages for something that isn't their fault.
CONTRACT REVIEWS
When agreeing a contract for a new project, many Contractors and Subcontractors will agree to the terms put forward by their client in fear of losing out on the new package of work. But in doing so, they can be exposed to risk down the line that was not anticipated. In truth, there is nothing wrong with negotiating the terms of contract, and we can assist with that. We will review contracts and negotiate the terms on a Contractor's / Subcontractor's behalf, whilst also explaining potential their risks in simple terms.
BUDGETS / CVRs
Profitability is the key to any successful business, however in the middle of a complex and time consuming project, we understand that cost tracking is not necessarily the easiest discipline to manage. We can track project costs to date, forecast remaining costs to complete and compare against budgets to provide an accurate assessment of the value of a project before it completes.
DISPUTE RESOLUTION
Getting into disputes with clients can be the most stressful situation a sub-contractor can find themselves in. Our expertise can unlock disagreements and provide clarity to try and resolve these situations amicably. We can look at many areas of dispute, including variations, extensions of time and LADs. We also work closely with legal teams who can help reinforce your position and level the playing field.
